Anna Crocket
Anna, a lifelong learner, has been on a steady path of literacy goal achievement for several years, due to tenacity, commitment, and a high level of involvement in Literacy Volunteers educational programming. Anna participates in weekly Community Connect classes, weekly Genius Hour project based learning, the annual poetry contest, and individual tutoring. Anna loves to share her reading skills with her grandchildren and give back to her community.
Matilda Holt and Dottie Richard
For over 20 years Matilda and Dottie have each shown strong commitment to strengthen the community of Literacy Volunteers learning. They have partnered with tutors, board members, classmates, and volunteers to offer support for lifelong learning. Matilda is currently a co-chair of the board of directors and Dottie reads her catalogue of jokes handwritten from the Sunday edition of the Lewiston Sun Journal to residents of a local nursing home.
Bill Caron, Karen , Aishah Wolfstone, Lacey Ann Elder, and Caitlyn are poetry writing enthusiasts who participated in our June poetry writing workshop at our Mt. Blue Learning Center in Farmington.
