A supportive structure for self designed, self directed learning
In Genius Hour, participants complete self designed, self directed research projects around topics relevant to their lives. Participants gain new learning on their chosen topic and individually work toward mastery in a wide range of academic skills while developing a better understanding of their personal learning processes as well as their identities as learners.
Genius Hour participants meet weekly for 8-10 weeks, in person or on Zoom. Trained tutors support participants in identifying a personally relevant research topic and question, carrying out their research, creating a product to showcase their learning, and a presentation about their learning process.
